Friends of the Nashua Public Library

Have you joined the hippest group in Nashua yet? The Friends of the Nashua Public Library reorganized last fall and started fund-raising and having fun together in support of the best library in New Hampshire. The Friends have raised approximately $5,000 from the sale of donated books and have donated funds for prizes for Young Adult and Children's Room events, in support of library staff training and for volunteer programs.

The Friends are sponsoring the big fall book sale on Saturday, October 14 outside the library and are in need of folks to help organize the books, collect the money and clear the tables afterward. They are also hoping to hold some social events in the future, perhaps an art auction or something similar.

The Friends have a web page linked from the library's page with information on joining. The Executive Board meets every month on the secon Monday evening at 7 pm in the Music/Art/Media Department and all are welcome.
