"Hot Copies"

With so many library patrons reserving so many popular books so far in advance we rarely find these titles on our shelves for people who just like to browse. And browsing in a library, like browsing in a book store, should result in some rewards!

So staff devised a new category, "Hot Copies", an extra copy of a really popular book purchased with trust funds and available for a limited time. "Hot Copies" circulate for one week only, are not renewable or reservable and incur serious fines if kept over their due date. They are perfect for some library patrons who don't usually reserve items, have the time to finish them in a week or less and visit the library regularly.

"Hot Copies" are shelved in the front lobby between the new doors by the Circ Desk.
