<> is different from most books I've read. It's the story of a foster-child and her struggles (and mainly the struggles of her pregnant friend), but it's told through emails, journal entries, and creative writing assignments.
The story was mediocre, but the writing was perfectly simple and pure, with amazing, subtle literary devices like foreshadowing and irony.
I think that the story was written for highschoolers, but the writing could be easily understood by an 11 year old.
