A countess below stairs is a book that takes place after the Russian revolution. When the Russian royalty was either killed or forced out of Russia. One of these royals is a girl Anna. Before the revolution she had loving family then he father dies when the rebels take over. Before they fled they gave all of their jewels to their most trusted servant because they knew she wouldn’t be searched. But the servant never shows up at the location they agreed on. So betrayed and penniless they leave for England where they are forced to rely on Pinny Anna’s nurse. So Anna decides to get a job this is when she is sent to the house where she is to become a maid. This is also where the fateful meeting of Anna and Rupert meet. This is for people who like historical fiction, and people who enjoy reading about the royal’s affairs
