By: Richard Rodriguez
An excellent read altogether, Hunger of Memory details the education of Richard Rodriguez. This autobiography defined a "scholarship boy" well, which I personally liked, and detailed how Rodriguez went through the educational system, in Catholic schools most of the time. However, I disliked the fact that Rodriguez inserted his opinion into the text; biographies (not to mention autobiographies), ought to only have fact, not opinion. This would be an excellent read for those that enjoy biographies, autobiographies, and Richard Rodriguez's writings. Should anyone want to read more of Rodriguez's works, there is: 1)Brown : the last discovery of America, and 2)Days of obligation : an argument with my Mexican father, contained within the Nashua Public Library.
