Marley & Me by: John Grogan

In this book, the author, John Grogan, tells about the life of his dog Marley. Believing that a dog would prepare them for a child, John and his wife, Jenny, buy a yellow lab puppy, Marley. The two soon learn that Marley is a dog with serious issues; trouble follows Marley wherever he goes. John and Jenny adapt to life with this terror of a dog as their family grows and more of Marley's quirks come to light. At the end of his life, though, John realizes that he has learned much from his troubled, mischevious friend.

Accidentally Fooled by Lisa Papademetriou

Fiona and Preston are Amy Flowers's enemies. Amy thinks Fiona is super mean and Preston is really annoying. There is a seventh grade project and Amy is teaching health to the first graders with Fiona and Preston. While her best friends are in the community garden service project. Surprisingly, Fiona starts acting so nice to Amy. Is Fiona trying to fool Amy or does Fiona really want to be friends with Amy? I like how there is a health hint in the beginning of every chapter. I dislike how there are too many characters in this book; it's confusing to remember all them. Other similiar books are the rest of the Candy Apple series.
