Steelhead Fishing of the Great Lakes Tributaries
Mitchell Kalter from Great Bay Trout Unlimited takes a broad look at the Great Lakes steelhead fishery, including its history, species, and fishing techniques. He’ll explore fly-fishing techniques, equipment, flies, and rigging and take a look at tributary locations available to enjoy this fishery in New York and Michigan.

Fishing Film Festival
Three short award-winning documentaries will be shown: Red Gold, about the struggle to protect the sockeye salmon fishery in Bristol Bay, Alaska; Running Down the Man, about fly-fishing for rooster fish from the beaches of Baja Sur, Mexico; and The Hatch, about protecting the stone-fly hatch that engulfs the Black Canyon of Gunnison National Park in Colorado each year.

Let’s Go Fishing: Introduction to Fly-Tying
In this workshop you’ll be introduced to the tools, materials, threads, and hooks required for fly-tying. Then, in a hands-on session, you’ll learn to tie nymph, wet, streamer, and dry flies. Tools and materials will be provided, but participants may bring their own if they have them. For adults, and children over twelve if accompanied by an adult. Class size limited; preregistration required.
